I was inspired and encouraged through a close friend to start a blog. I don't know what I'm doing and in honesty, I'm an awful writer, my life is not very interesting, I have a hard time finding the right words, I'm impatient, I'm incredibility indecisive so every sentence takes me forever, BUT I'm going to give this a shot=)
Shake-Shine-Flutter
Silly as it may sound, these three words are a continuous reminder of my faith in Jesus. Jesus calls us to be the salt of the earth (Matt. 5). And where is salt found? In the salt shaker, duh! Definitely not in the ocean... plus ocean-shine-flutter sounds weird. We are also created to be the light of the world (John 8)- to illuminate, radiate and shine God's love. Finally we must flutter- to have a continue hunger to share His love. At Revolution, Al, the last director, shared with us the life of a Caterpillar. I think everyone is familiar with the metamorphosis story but before a caterpillar undergoes this change, they are constantly eating. In this time, that is all they really can do. Their focus is on their own need for food. But after their physical transformation, their focus also transforms. They go from trying to satisfy their hungry to trying to reproduce. It sounds a bit odd but stay with me. =) In translating this into my walk with God. I wan't to be in a place where I can get away from me-me-me , but to follow Jesus' great commission- I want to multiply!
I pray God will continue to show me how I should live, to give me the words, and continues to be my inspiration.
